The college has four course offering departments:

  1. Department of Strategic

  2. Department of Leadership

  3. Department of Warfare

  4. Department of Joint operation

    Each department uniquely provides students with valuable knowledge and skills in their respective area of education.

Department of Joint Operation

  • The main objective of Joint Operations courses are intended to help student higher officers to have specific and practical knowledge and skills which would enable them to appreciate and analyze battle field situations.
  • To plan, lead/direct and control conventional and non-conventional joint operations and capable to accomplish their mission successfully during war and peace time.

Department Of Strategic 

  • The main objective of strategic security courses is to help student higher officers to acquire necessary knowledge in today’s complex and dynamic national and international security environment in order to operate their mission effectively and professionally.

Department of Warfare

  • The main objective of warfare study courses are designed to help student officers to analyze the theories of war, basic military thought and Ethiopian Military Doctrine, Science and Art.
  • It also helps higher student officers to grasp important lessons from experiences of wars conducted around the world and to examine the Ethiopian Military experiences since the 19th century to date.

Department of Leadership

  • The main objective of leadership courses are intended to provide student higher officers with understanding of leadership theories, develop their skills of overcoming leadership challenges and managing conflicts.
